Young
people
would
come
in automobiles
to downtown
Ironton
on Friday
and
Saturday
evenings
and
drive
around
a ten-block
circle,
waving
their
hands
at people
in the
streets
and
at people
in other
vehicles,
sometimes
parking
to chat
or play
at the
game
room.
Some
of them
stop
and
get
a soft
drink
or a
beer.
Some
of the
local
people
thought
cruising
to be
a nuisance.
Others
didn’t
mind.
The
Ironton
Police
Department
kept
it pretty
well
under
control.
