Midkiff’s
wife
was
sued
because
of an
automobile
accident.
The
lawyer
for
her
insurance
company
thought
she
might
have
a chance
on a
counterclaim,
so he
recommended
her
to me.
She
recovered
a small
amount
from
the
plaintiff’s
insurance
company,
and
the
plaintiff
recovered
a much
larger
amount
from
Midkiff’s
insurance
company.
Mr.
Midkiff
posed
for
a picture,
and
I joked
about
selling
the
photograph
to the
Navy
to use
as a
picture
of a
sailor
who
had
retired
after
twenty
years.
